On June 20, North Central Highlands Mineral Investment Joint Stock Company commenced the technical infrastructure construction project of Tan Tien Industrial Cluster (Tan Tien Commune). Spanning 75 hectares, it is located nearly 2 km from the Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot Expressway, about 11 km from the Phuoc An durian raw material area, and approximately 25 km from Buon Ma Thuot Airport.
According to the plan, Tan Tien Industrial Cluster will develop an ecosystem comprising cold storage, cool storage, preliminary processing, processing, testing, logistics, and export support services. The project simultaneously applies traceability, planting area management, and quality control to meet the requirements of importing markets.

At the commencement ceremony, Tan Tien Industrial Cluster, Dak Lak Durian Association, and Simexco Daklak signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation to develop a logistics, commercial, and technological ecosystem for the export fruit industry.
The parties are also researching the establishment of the Vietnam Durian Research Institute to serve seed research, post-harvest preservation, and technology transfer.
According to the National Agricultural Extension Center, the Central Highlands is currently the country’s durian capital with over 90,000 hectares and an output of about 673,900 tons, making an important contribution to Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable export turnover.
In the context of the industry shifting strongly towards value chain production and export, the formation of specialized processing and logistics centers is considered a crucial link to enhance the competitiveness of Central Highlands agricultural products on the international market.
