Gia Binh Airport Project Expected to Attract a Large Number of High-Quality Personnel – VnExpress Business

According to the master plan, Gia Binh International Airport is being developed by the investor as a new-generation aviation economic hub based on three pillars. The core is high-standard aviation infrastructure, serving as the central link for regional and international connectivity and ensuring long-term operational and service capacity. The second ring is a logistics-commerce ecosystem that concentrates value-adding activities such as import-export, services and supporting industries. The outermost layer is integrated urban and service space, aimed at building a cohesive living-working-experience environment for specialists and workers.

To realize this development orientation, the investor has partnered with an international team of experts who have participated in operating and developing major aviation hubs worldwide such as Hamad (Qatar), Changi (Singapore), Heathrow (UK) and Munich (Germany). These experts advise on planning, operational models and management, and share practical experience from airports with world-class scale and standards.

This collaboration helps the project adopt advanced global practices from the outset. More importantly, by working alongside international experts, the project aims to gradually transfer technology, management experience and to train internal human resources. This is seen as the foundation for improving the quality of the domestic aviation workforce and for gradually forming a Vietnamese expert team capable of mastering modern operational technologies in the long term.

“We expect that creating a complete economic ecosystem around the airport will stimulate demand and expand employment opportunities across many high-quality sectors such as international trade, supply chain management, information technology, operations management and financial services,” a representative of the investor said.

In addition to diverse job opportunities, the project also has the potential to form a specialist community with an international working environment, clear career development paths and modern living spaces. These are important factors in the workplace choices of a young, high-quality workforce.

Located in the industrial capital of Bac Ninh and directly connected to the region’s major transport corridors leading to the capital, the Gia Binh airport project is expected to act as an anchor for workforce relocation, especially among specialists, engineers and knowledge workers. The Gia Binh International Airport project (Bac Ninh), led by Masterise Airport Infrastructure Joint Stock Company, a member of Masterise, has total capital of about VND 196,378 billion and a planned area of 1,960 hectares, meeting international 4F standards. The airport officially broke ground on August 19, 2025, and is currently accelerating construction of foundations, runways and a VIP terminal. The project aims to complete key items by 2027 to serve the APEC Summit and to finish the entire Phase 1 by 2030 with an annual capacity of 30 million passengers.
