In the initial phase, the enterprise plans to develop in Pho Noi (Hung Yen), Me Linh (Hanoi), along with many other key markets. According to MIK Group, the selection of each land area is not only based on land fund size or market potential, but is also linked to a long-term vision of infrastructure development and urban expansion.

The orientation for building the Forestia brand stems from the desire to continue the cultural values of each land by expressing them in a way suitable for modern life. “The important thing is that the values, identity, and stories of each land are preserved, but retold in a contemporary language to continue to be present in today’s living spaces,” shared a representative of MIK Group.

Images such as the banyan tree, the water well, the communal house yard, the village road, or the periodic market become materials for the enterprise to build a set of design principles for Forestia. In this approach, familiar images of the Vietnamese countryside are not kept as they are but transformed into spaces with new functions. Water wells and village ponds become the central lake and public space system; the communal house yard is developed into a community square; porches, small alleys, or village gates create transitional space layers. The periodic market is succeeded by modern commercial streets, contributing to creating vitality for the entire urban area.

Besides cultural elements, MIK Group develops Forestia based on the “Canopy principle” (canopy principle). This idea is inspired by the image of the banyan tree in Vietnamese culture, aiming for a connected pace of life under the tree canopies.

According to the enterprise, the urban space is organized as a multi-layered canopy system, in which architecture, landscape, and life connect harmoniously. This model aims for a balance between private spaces and community activities, while putting resident experience and long-term settlement value at the center.

From this approach, Forestia is shaped according to the integrated urban area model. Housing, water surface, landscape, amenities, and public spaces are synchronously planned from the beginning. According to MIK Group, the value of an urban area does not lie in the number of amenities but in the way all elements operate harmoniously, helping residents bond and step by step form a community, continuing through generations.

Accompanying the enterprise in the development process of Forestia are international partners such as Gensler, Turner International (US), Design Worldwide Partnership (Australia), COEN Design International (Singapore)… The unit expects that global development experience and standards will combine with an understanding of local culture and conditions to create urban areas that are both modern and have their own distinct identity.
