Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee, assessed that developing social housing is a long-term policy to stabilize social security and retain the workforce in the central hub city of the central region. The city’s continuous implementation of social housing projects aims to address immediate housing needs, aiming to establish synchronized residential areas with stable living conditions and long-term attachment to the urban area.

The investor’s representative stated that they have completed legal procedures such as master plan layout, environmental impact assessment, land handover, and fire prevention and fighting design appraisal for the project. The enterprise said it is focusing resources (financial, human) to ensure the quality and progress of the construction. They are also coordinating with functional agencies in the public and transparent screening process for home buyers and renters.

At the end of May, the Da Nang City People’s Committee approved a list of 113 land locations for social housing development with a total area of nearly 390 hectares. Among them, many land plots have prime locations in the centers of Son Tra, Hai Chau, Hai Van, and Ba Na wards.

In 2025, the city completed 5 projects with more than 2,900 units, exceeding the target by about 8%. After merging with Quang Nam from July 1, 2025, the new social housing completion target for the city is nearly 29,000 units by 2030. This year, Da Nang expects to complete nearly 5,000 units, double that of last year, equivalent to 23% of the current total supply.
