Groundbreaking of nearly 1,000-unit social housing area at Vlasta – Thuy Nguyen
The developer of Vlasta – Thuy Nguyen Urban Area has commenced construction on a social housing project covering over 26,000 square meters. The project, consisting of four apartment buildings, aims to supplement the local housing supply.
Featuring nearly 1,000 high-rise apartments, the project is expected to accommodate more than 2,200 residents, raising the future population of Vlasta – Thuy Nguyen to approximately 10,000 people.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony held on July 18 in Hai Phong, a representative of Van Phu Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company stated that the project is being implemented in response to the policy on social housing development, while also boosting the housing supply for local residents.
The developer’s representative also committed to mobilizing resources to implement the project in accordance with the approved planning and schedule, ensuring construction quality, and fully complying with legal regulations on social housing development.

The Vlasta – Thuy Nguyen project is located on the 359C Avenue corridor, offering convenient connectivity to many of the city’s key infrastructure hubs, such as the new Hai Phong Political-Administrative Center, VSIP Hai Phong Industrial Park, Thuy Nguyen General Hospital, the Northern Bus Station, and transport routes connecting to the city center, Cat Bi International Airport, and the seaport system. This connectivity network helps meet the commuting, working, and essential service needs of the residents.

In addition to its location advantages, the living space at Vlasta – Thuy Nguyen is developed with a modern orientation, balancing convenience and community experience. The amenity system includes a 1,500-square-meter central park, Anh Sao pedestrian street, an inter-level school, a healthcare center, a sports area, and various common living spaces, meeting the needs of multiple generations of residents.
The groundbreaking of the social housing area marks an important step in completing the Vlasta – Thuy Nguyen Urban Area. It also contributes to realizing the sustainable urban development orientation, increasing the supply of quality housing, and meeting the growing demand for settlement in Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong.

According to the housing development plan for the 2026-2030 period, Hai Phong expects to deploy around 37,698 social housing units. In recent years, the city has been one of the active localities in developing this segment to meet the housing needs of residents and workers, while promoting the formation of housing areas that are synchronously planned in terms of technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, and urban amenities.
