Groundbreaking of the first social housing project for the military worth nearly 5,000 billion VND – VnExpress Newspaper

The groundbreaking ceremony was organized by the Ministry of National Defense in coordination with the Provincial Military Command, the investor Khanh Vinh Group, and related units.

Accordingly, the social housing project has a total investment of nearly 5,000 billion VND, built on a land area of about 2.15 hectares, directly connecting to Vo Nguyen Giap street and the infrastructure system of My Gia Urban Area.

The project consists of 5 buildings with 34 floors and a basement, with a total construction floor area of about 318,520 square meters. Upon completion, the project will provide about 2,776 apartments, including 2,221 apartments for families of the armed forces in the military and 555 commercial apartments. It is expected to meet the housing needs of about 8,300 officers and soldiers.

The project is synchronously invested with social housing items, commercial centers, kindergartens, community houses, green tree systems, children’s playgrounds, multi-purpose sports courts, etc., contributing to improving the quality of life for residents, while creating an architectural and urban landscape highlight in the South Nha Trang area.

According to the plan, the project is expected to be completed, handed over, and put into use in 2028.

Mr. Tran Hoa Nam, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, requested relevant units to organize the construction to ensure the schedule and quality, and to complete and put the project into use soon.

Up to now, the whole Khanh Hoa province has 13 social housing projects being implemented with a total scale of more than 20,975 apartments and a total investment of about 30,342 billion VND. Among them, 7 projects have started and are under construction with about 11,828 units; 4 projects have received investment policy approval and investor assignment; 2 housing projects are for the armed forces.

Many large projects are being accelerated, such as: Cam Nghia Ward Social Housing Area; CT-01, CT-02 Social Housing Area in An Binh Tan Urban Area; Hung Phu II Social Housing; Vinh Hai Social Housing Area…

According to the report, implementing the Government’s Resolution No. 07 on assigning social housing development targets to localities for the 2026 – 2030 period, the province is assigned to develop 10,088 social housing units, with 3,200 units in 2026 alone.
