Flamingo Cat Ba operates in the Cat Co 1 – Cat Co 2 area with a scale of about 7.78 hectares, comprising three towers and more than 1,000 resort apartments. After a period of operation, this complex continues to be recognized for its advantageous location, utility system, and development standards oriented towards green buildings.
According to the assessment by SGS Vietnam, the complex achieved savings of 29% in energy consumption, 41% in water usage, and 29% in embodied energy of materials. Energy-saving solutions are implemented from the design phase to operation.
The project uses large-area glass systems to utilize natural light and expand views of the sea, bay, and mountains. In public areas, glass combined with thermal insulation film helps limit heat absorption, reducing the load on the cooling system.

The resort space is also organized to increase connection with the natural landscape. Areas such as the reception lobby, guest rooms, infinity pool, sea-facing pool, and outdoor relaxation areas all expand their views to Lan Ha Bay and the characteristic terrain of Cat Ba Island. As a result, green standards are not only reflected through technical parameters but also present in the accommodation experience.
The investor stated that Flamingo Cat Ba saves 29% of energy consumption thanks to various solutions such as utilizing natural light, glass systems combined with thermal insulation film, VRV central air conditioning systems, efficient heat pump systems, and automatic sensor LED lights.
The issue of water usage is also emphasized. Domestic wastewater from the three towers is treated for reuse in watering plants and flushing toilets. The project simultaneously applies an automatic irrigation system along with low-flow water supply devices, contributing to a 41% reduction in water consumption according to the assessment results.

Regarding materials, the construction uses many solutions aimed at durability and adaptability to the marine environment. Among them are reinforced ALC panels with soundproofing, thermal insulation, and fire resistance properties, which also limit the impact of salty humidity. According to the investor, these solutions help save 29% of the embodied energy of materials compared to conventional construction methods.
Green standards not only contribute to reducing pressure on resources but also support maintaining the operational quality of a large-scale beach resort complex. This is also one of the factors increasingly receiving attention in coastal and island areas.
“In island conditions, the construction is directly affected by sun, wind, salty humidity, water usage pressure, energy, and the need for continuous accommodation exploitation. Green standards at the project are not just a visual message, but relate to construction quality, operational efficiency, accommodation experience, and the ability to maintain the asset’s appeal,” shared a representative of the investor.
Recently, Flamingo Cat Ba was also honored in the Top 10 Best Tourism, Resort, and Entertainment Urban Areas in Vietnam at the 2nd Vietnam National Real Estate Awards. The award contributes to recognizing the project’s appeal after many years of operation.

Besides construction and operational factors, the investor is currently applying several customer support policies such as an interest rate ceiling lock of a maximum of 8% per year for 36 months, a payment schedule extended to 36 months, free services for 24 months, and a 12% discount when signing the sales contract. Customers who pay early can receive additional incentives of up to 15%, while being able to apply the payment method of 30% of the product value to receive the house.
Implemented on the foundation of an existing project with completed construction and actual operation, the sales policies are expected to attract more customers interested in the product. In parallel, green standards continue to play a role in supporting the resort experience, exploitation efficiency, and the project’s appeal in the market.
