The above information was shared by a representative of WHA Group during a working session with leaders of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee during their visit to Thailand.
WHA is an industrial developer from Thailand. The enterprise entered Vietnam in 2017 with its first project in Nghi Loc, Nghe An, covering an area of nearly 1,900 hectares.
In Thanh Hoa, the group is implementing two large-scale industrial parks. Among them, the WHA 1 industrial park, part of the Phu Quy industrial park, covers an area of over 178 hectares with a total investment of 55 million USD. The project has completed site clearance and has been granted a construction permit for the leased land area.
The second is the WHA 2 industrial park, part of the Giang Quang Thinh industrial park. The project has a total area of 175 hectares and an investment capital of 58 million USD. The project is currently in the process of completing procedures to commence construction as planned.
The group’s representative stated that the unit is researching the development of 4 additional industrial park infrastructure projects in Thanh Hoa, with a total investment of over 500 million USD.
At the working session, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Mai Xuan Liem requested WHA Group to continue accelerating the implementation progress of the projects while attracting secondary investors to soon bring the industrial parks into operation.
The provincial leader also suggested the enterprise research expanding investments in new industrial parks and large-scale logistics centers using green energy. He stated that the locality will promptly resolve any obstacles to ensure the projects are implemented on schedule.
Thanh Hoa is one of the leading localities in attracting foreign investment in the Central region. By the end of the first quarter, the entire province had attracted 29 direct investment projects, including 4 FDI projects. The total attracted capital reached over 11,600 billion VND. Many large enterprises are interested in developing projects here, such as Sumitomo (Japan), Vietnam Rubber Group, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company…
