Arab businesses want to build a high-tech mega-city in Quang Ninh
Representatives of MHGroup proposed investing in two projects in Quang Ninh, including a high-tech mega-city and a Halal industrial park.
The Arab Businessmen Council and MHGroup Joint Stock Company recently held working sessions in Quang Ninh and Hung Yen provinces to discuss project investment opportunities.
In Quang Ninh, the Arab businesses proposed studying investments in two large-scale projects. The first is Silicon City, modeled as a high-tech mega-city. The project will develop an advanced technology industrial ecosystem, manufacturing AI equipment, robots, drones, and autonomous aerial and marine vehicles.
The second is a Halal Industrial Park, aiming to establish a modern, international-standard complex for Halal production, processing, logistics, and services. The Halal industry is defined as a system of production and business of products and services that meet specific standards under Islamic Law.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khang assigned departments, sectors, and localities to guide the investor in conducting surveys, finalizing ideas, and evaluating feasibility against the province’s planning.
Following Quang Ninh, the Arab Businessmen Council and MHGroup also held a meeting with the Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee to explore investment opportunities. Representatives of MHGroup proposed studying cooperation to build a Halal Industrial Park. The goal is to form a closed ecosystem ranging from production, processing, and logistics to services, human resource training, consulting, certification, and trade promotion.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen assigned the Department of Finance to act as the focal point to provide information on planning, land funds, and the list of projects calling for investment to the enterprise. Mr. Quyen also suggested that both sides quickly agree on specific details to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
Established in August 2023 in Hanoi, MHGroup is an enterprise specializing in multi-industry management consulting and international trade promotion. Besides Quang Ninh and Hung Yen, the company and the Arab Businessmen Council have recently connected with various localities, such as Da Nang and Tuyen Quang, to survey and study project investments.
Quang Ninh and Hung Yen are two localities featured in the list of the top 10 provinces and cities most attractive to large enterprises in 2025, published by Vietnam Report. This group of localities is highly regarded for its strong appeal to major domestic and international corporations. To date, Quang Ninh has nearly 240 active foreign investment projects with a total registered capital of nearly 16 billion USD. Meanwhile, Hung Yen has about 970 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 18 billion USD.
