Phu Tho resolves obstacles for BRG’s trillion-dong entertainment project

The Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee recently conducted an inspection to resolve difficulties for two trillion-dong projects in Luong Son Commune, including BRG’s Queen Valley.

The Queen Valley Resort and Entertainment Area project (commercial name: Queen Valley) was approved in principle by the former Hoa Binh Provincial People’s Committee in October 2021, with a total investment of approximately 2,000 billion VND. The investor is Queen Valley Tourism Joint Stock Company (a member of BRG Group).

The project has a total land acquisition area of nearly 142 hectares, with the investor having cleared about 92% of the site. Currently, the project still faces obstacles regarding more than 5,800 square meters of land belonging to 10 households due to its location within the planning scope for the expansion of National Highway 6.

According to the Luong Son Commune People’s Committee, the compensation plan for these households was approved many years ago at about 800 million VND. The investor committed to providing additional support, raising the total compensation amount to 31 billion VND. However, the households have not yet agreed and continue to request compensation through negotiation at a higher rate.

The second project is the Dong Truong Son high-end eco-resort urban area by Legacy Riverside Co., Ltd., with a capital scale of over 1,000 billion VND. The total land acquisition area of this project is more than 98 hectares, of which 93% of the area has been cleared. More than 78 billion VND has been paid to 68 affected households.

To date, the project still has nearly 7 hectares of land that have not completed site clearance. The reasons include obstacles in verifying land origins, adjustments to administrative boundaries, and some households not yet receiving compensation. Construction close to the Bui River bed has also faced complaints regarding the risk of narrowing flood drainage capacity, causing landslides, and affecting the production and lives of local residents.

The Luong Son Commune People’s Committee has requested Legacy Riverside Company to temporarily suspend leveling and infrastructure construction activities in the section adjacent to the Bui River to continue reviewing and handling the situation.

During the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vu Viet Van requested units to completely resolve the remaining site clearance issues. The two investors must ensure that project implementation does not affect the environment, flood drainage capacity, and the lives of local residents.

Luong Son Commune has a convenient location as it borders the western gateway of the capital. Over the past time, this area has seen a boom in urban and resort projects thanks to its tourism advantages, offering a wide variety of accommodation types. Currently, along with the general market trends, the level of interest and real estate transactions here remains quiet and less active.
