Da Nang – On the morning of July 14, a social housing project in the Con Tien urban area, Hoi An Dong Ward, was broken ground on, featuring 684 apartments with a total investment of 700 billion VND.
The project is developed by Dat Phuong Hoi An Joint Stock Company (a member of Dat Phuong Group) and constructed by contractor Vinaconex 25. The project is built on an area of over 23,935 square meters, consisting of four 7-story apartment blocks and a rooftop staircase structure.
Located more than 5 km from Hoi An ancient town, the project is synchronously planned with technical infrastructure and essential amenities. Upon completion in the fourth quarter of 2028, the project is expected to meet the housing needs of nearly 2,200 residents, targeting low-income workers.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, noted that developing social housing is a long-term policy to stabilize social welfare and retain the workforce in the central hub city of the central region. The city’s continuous deployment of social housing projects aims to address immediate housing needs while aiming to establish synchronized residential areas with stable living conditions for long-term attachment to the urban area.
A representative of the developer said that they have completed legal procedures such as the master plan, environmental impact assessment, land handover, and fire prevention and fighting design appraisal for the project. The enterprise stated they are focusing resources (financial and human) to ensure project quality and progress. They are also coordinating with authorities to review buyers and tenants publicly and transparently.
At the end of May, the Da Nang People’s Committee approved a list of 113 land plots for social housing development with a total area of nearly 390 hectares. Among these, many plots occupy prime locations in the centers of Son Tra, Hai Chau, Hai Van, and Ba Na wards.
In 2025, the city completed 5 projects with more than 2,900 units, exceeding the target by about 8%. After merging with Quang Nam from July 1, 2025, the new city’s target for completing social housing is nearly 29,000 units by 2030. This year, Da Nang expects to complete nearly 5,000 units, double last year’s figure, equivalent to 23% of the current total supply.
