Phu My Hung launches USD 40 million educational complex at Hong Hac City

On July 18, the developer of the Hong Hac City project signed a strategic cooperation agreement with EQuest to implement an educational complex with a total investment of approximately 40 million USD.

According to the agreement, the K-12 educational complex will include a kindergarten and a multi-level school system from primary to high school, serving around 2,500 students upon completion. The curriculum combines the Ministry of Education and Training program with a seamless Cambridge pathway, while integrating STEM, AI, Robotics, arts, life skills, and comprehensive capacity building programs.

Spanning over 22,000 square meters, the educational complex is divided into two implementation phases. The first phase includes a three-story kindergarten and a five-story multi-level school on an area of nearly 11,000 square meters, expected to be operational and enroll its first batch of students starting September 2028. The facility was designed by Gensler Architecture Design Firm.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Gary Tseng, General Director of Phu My Hung and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VietinBank Union Investment Joint Stock Company (VTU), stated that this marks the beginning of a long-term partnership built on a shared vision: providing high-quality education and building a solid foundation for future generations to excel in an increasingly interconnected world.

On behalf of EQuest, Mr. Truong Hoang Nam, Chief Financial Officer, shared that the collaboration with Phu My Hung at Hong Hac City is a continuation of the comprehensive strategic partnership proven in South Saigon (HCMC), where EQuest operates the Canadian International School (CIS) and Sedbergh Vietnam. This partnership also marks the northern expansion of the model combining Phu My Hung’s urban development expertise with EQuest’s educational operating capabilities.

According to him, Bac Ninh is entering a new stage of development with strong potential to attract investment capital and domestic and international experts, driving an increasing demand for high-quality education systems.

“We do not consider education merely an urban amenity, but a core social infrastructure that creates attraction and builds long-term value for the project,” Mr. Nam said.

EQuest representatives expect that over the next 10 years, the educational complex at Hong Hac City will become one of the highlights of the northern educational ecosystem, providing high-quality educational services to residents of the urban area and surrounding regions.

Mr. David Armstrong, Senior Vice President of Academics and International Relations at EQuest, added that the academic program will combine the national curriculum with international programs from the UK and the US. The company is also developing preferential tuition policies for residents of Hong Hac City when the school opens.

On the same day, Phu My Hung also introduced the second model home under the Bespoke Collection at the project.

According to Mr. Bui Duy Toan, unlike the first model home inspired by Indochine style, the new model home is developed in the Japanese Zen style in collaboration with Nomura. The design aims for a relaxing living space, close to nature, aligned with the trend of prioritizing mental well-being.

“We want to offer diverse lifestyle choices to customers. In the coming time, the company will continue to introduce new model homes under various themes to meet the diverse needs of residents,” he said.

Representatives of Phu My Hung stated that the company will provide interior fit-out packages so customers can move in immediately, especially targeting foreign experts. These fit-out packages are implemented with long-term partners to ensure construction quality and consistency with the overall project design.

Hong Hac City is located in Song Lieu Ward, Bac Ninh Province. The project is developed by Phu My Hung Development Co., Ltd. and Nomura Real Estate Vietnam, with the legal entity being VietinBank Union Investment Joint Stock Company (VTU). According to the developer’s representative, starting school construction in the early stages and introducing fully finished residential product lines are the next steps in Hong Hac City’s development roadmap under an integrated township model, aiming to complete an ecosystem of educational, commercial, medical, cultural, entertainment, and green space amenities for residents.
