The Da Nang People’s Committee has recently approved the investment policy for the VSIP Da Nang Industrial Park in Dien Ban Bac Ward.
The project covers nearly 250 hectares of land with a total investment capital of over 3.7 trillion VND. The operational lifespan is 50 years from the date of the land lease decision.
The implementation timeline spans 5 years, with the period from the third quarter of 2026 to the third quarter of 2027 dedicated to preparing investment procedures. From the fourth quarter of 2026 to the second quarter of 2028, the project will undergo compensation and site clearance, with investment attraction expected to begin in the third quarter of 2028. The project is scheduled for completion and operation starting from the fourth quarter of 2031.
The decision also approves the investor as Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Co., Ltd. (VSIP). This is a joint venture between Investment and Industrial Development Joint Stock Corporation (Becamex IDC) and Sembcorp Development Ltd, in which the Singaporean enterprise holds a 51% stake.
After more than three decades of operation in Vietnam, this developer has established 26 industrial parks, attracting hundreds of thousands of workers along with numerous domestic and foreign manufacturing and technology enterprises. At the end of May, VSIP was licensed for 5 industrial parks in Hai Phong, Nghe An, Hue, Ha Nam, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Starting July 1, 2025, Da Nang will merge with Quang Nam under the name Da Nang. The new city is expected to possess significant advantages in attracting investment in industry, services, seaports, urban areas, and resort tourism. In the first half of this year, the city attracted nearly 358 million USD in FDI capital, a sharp increase year-on-year, focusing primarily on manufacturing, processing, information technology, trade, and services.
